He was a standout division 1 soccer player and captain of the team at Cal State Fullerton, earning him the prestigious Big West’s Defensive Player of the Year award for the first time in Cal State Fullerton Men’s Soccer history, highlighting his exceptional skills and leadership.

Gio’s talent and hard work have also secured him a place on Puerto Rico’s Men’s National Team, where he has competed in numerous international tournaments, proudly representing his heritage and showcasing his abilities on a global stage.

Gio played on Ventura County Fusion for 3 years where he captained the team and played a pivotal role in Fusion’s triumph in the USL2 National Championship in 2022. His contributions to the team’s victory were instrumental, solidifying his reputation as a top-tier defender and a key player in any team he joins.
